Portland and Rumford Falls West Minot Station

This Station is now a private residence so please limit your pictures to distance shots. Many people who by these places for their uniqueness or preservation do not like the grounds trampled on.

Buckfield Branch Railroad Company incorporated on July 22nd, 1847 and was sold on May 1st, 1863 to the Portland and Oxford Central Railroad Company. Portland and Oxford Central Railroad Company goes into receivership to Rumford Falls and Buckfield Railroad Company on February 1st, 1878 and is sold to the Portland and Rumford Falls Railway on November 23rd, 1896. The Portland and Rumford Falls Railway had incorporated on October 8th, 1890. They leased the line to the Portland and Rumford Falls Railroad. This would become their operating division until 1907 when the line and properties were leased to the Maine Central Railroad Company.

It looks like the station was built along with the railroad and the line was abandoned around 1945.
